ALPHA 2026

ALPHA is a participatory arts festival for doers, creators, and makers.

Whether you're an emerging artist or a seasoned creator, Figment's ALPHA invites you to explore and innovate in our supportive community.

With the comfort and nostalgic charm of an adult sleep-away camp (with insulated cabins, indoor plumbing, hot showers, and meal plans for purchase)—ALPHA offers the time, space, and focus to build, experiment, iterate, and launch your best new work!

What to expect at ALPHA 2026:

Cabins and Camping

Every ticket includes a bed assignment in a communal cabin. If you do not wish to sleep in a communal cabin, you're welcome to pitch a tent anywhere on the Camp Ramblewood property at no extra charge (but it is recommended to pitch near your assigned cabin for the use of bathrooms/showers). You can also contact us for the option to reserve a PRIVATE CABIN (of which there are differently-sized options starting at $300 per cabin; contact alpha@figmentproject.org for more info).

Kids & Pets

There are no pets of any kind allowed on the Camp Ramblewood premises (and sadly, we have no control over this and cannot make any exceptions). Children and families are welcome; we offer discounted tickets and meal plans for kids 12 and under. While the artistic content of ALPHA is community-based and not specifically designed with children in mind, over many years, artists have found ALPHA to be an inviting space to bring their families and make new friends.

Theme Camps

If you would like to organize a group to bunk together in a cabin, we ask that you form a THEME CAMP (with a name, decor plan, and cabin size request) and send your request to: subject: HOUSING, to alpha@ figmentproject.org.

Meal Plans

Meal plans can be purchased separately on our ticketing page (vegetarian/vegan meals available upon request), but meal plans are NOT required for attendance. All attendees are encouraged to bring snacks and/or their own meals as desired. We aim to offer more gatherings and community announcements outside of the meal plan/dining hall.

ALPHA was launched in 2013 by FIGMENT to foster a supportive environment for interactive and participatory arts in the greater New York, Baltimore/Philly/D.C. area. ALPHA proudly follows the 11 Principles of FIGMENT and welcomes artists of all backgrounds, disciplines, and skill levels.
