You are invited to join us for an evening exploring how to engage and guide our children&#x27;s relationship with technology. We live with our children in a world of screens streaming words, sounds and images. The technology is amazing. The content can inspire and educate. It can also seduce, eclipse and destroy.How can we guide our children to wise and safe choices in the world of screens? Alone Together examines the technologies of the screens and their strategies to keep us and our children looking. It offers practical steps to healthy conversations with your children about the screens in their lives. This is a community event, help us spread the word to your friends, neighbors, and churches!SCHEDULE 5:30 pm - Doors open6:00 pm - Welcome 6:10 pm - Presentation of Need by Dr. Sara Smith T6:15 pm - Alone Together presentation by Russell Keller7:00 pm - Break7:15 pm - Q&amp;A panel answering questions from the audience8:00 pm - End of programSPEAKERSRussell Keller - Since 2007, <a href="https://axis.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Axis </a>has helped hundreds of thousands of families navigate difficult conversations with their kids. Striving to bridge the ever-growing gap between the next generation and the caring adults in their lives, Axis&#x27; mission is to stay on top of pop and teen culture, to &quot;translate&quot; the beauty of the Gospel to an ever-changing, ever-updating generation. Russell serves on the frontlines of Axis as the Director of Audience Care, helping families have more loving, difficult, heartfelt, awkward, impactful conversations!Gary Spooner - Gary has been a lead pastor for 38 years in churches in Mississippi and Alabama. Most recently, he pastored Covenant Presbyterian Church in Auburn, Alabama for 29 years. Recognizing the need for Christ-centered counseling in the Auburn area, he and his wife, Jill, began <a href="http://theowencenter.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Owen Center</a> in 2015. Sara Smith T - Dr. Smith T grew up in Prattville, and she received her undergraduate degree from Bellhaven College in Jackson, Mississippi. She graduated from medical school at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. Dr. Smith T completed her pediatric internship and residency at the University of Alabama in Birmingham Health System and the Children&#x27;s Hospital of Alabama. Dr. Smith T sees patients in Opelika, AL and serves on the board of The Owen Center.SCHOLARSHIPSIf you cannot afford the ticket for this event, scholarships are available!
