<h3>Alliance Day 2024: Standing in Solidarity with Indigenous Peoples</h3>Date: July 1, 2024 Time: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Location: 776597 Blandford Rd, Bright, ON N0J 1B0Join us for a meaningful day of ceremonies, teachings, drumming, and vendor showcases in Bright, ON. Alliance Day is dedicated to supporting Indigenous Artisans and Initiatives, held on the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee, and Hatiwendaronk.<h3>Event Highlights:</h3>Opening Ceremony:<ul><li>9:00 AM: Opening Prayer by Geraldine McManus and Welcome by Ashley Brunette</li></ul>Water Ceremony:<ul><li>9:30 - 11:30 AM: Led by Loud Thunderbird Woman, Laurie Minor</li></ul>Interactive Instrument Jam Session:<ul><li>12:00 PM: With Dave Villada, Sound Healing Practitioner</li></ul>Knowledge Keeper Talk:<ul><li>1:00 PM: Geraldine McManus, Knowledge Keeper and Storyteller</li></ul>Drum Circle:<ul><li>2:30 PM: Led by Theresa McGregor, Little Blue Star Woman</li></ul>Sound Bath:<ul><li>4:00 PM: Facilitated by David Villada</li></ul>Closing Ceremony:<ul><li>5:00 PM: Closing Prayer</li></ul><h3>Additional Activities:</h3><ul><li>Silent Auction &amp; 50/50 Draw: Participate in fundraising activities throughout the day.</li><li>Vendor Market: Explore unique items from Indigenous artisans.</li></ul><h3>Important Information:</h3>What to Bring:<ul><li>Please bring: water bottle, snacks, feast kit (we will be BBQing food for purchase) folding chairs or blankets to sit on, sunscreen, hats, cash</li></ul>Respectful Practices:<ul><li>Please avoid wearing red and white or carrying Canadian flags/paraphernalia to honor the spirit of the event.</li></ul>Vendor Information:<ul><li>Arrive between 7:30 AM and 8:00 AM for setup. Bring your own table, chairs, and canopy.
