Washington Governor Jay Inslee served in Congress between 1992 and 2012, when he was selected Governor; Governor Inslee is nationally recognized for his work to develop a clean energy economy, and the importance of addressing climate change.Congressman Earl Blumenauer has represented Portland in the U.S. Congress since 1996; he serves on the House Ways and Means Committee, and is an acknowledged leader on regional and global environmental issues.Dr. Bill Ripple was the principal author of the letter “World Scientists’ Warning to Humanity: A Second Notice.” As a health checkup for planet Earth, this letter has reached millions of people and is one of the most widely discussed and endorsed scientific articles of recent times. His talks are full of illustrated stories about his 20-year journey from first only doing ecological research to now being an advocate for science and the environment, and he provides many suggestions for sustainable living on planet Earth.Cold Worthy Beer will be sold at the event. All proceeds benefit the World Scientists Foundation.Worthy Garden Club is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, and does not endorse candidates for political office.
