[All Girls STEM Society] Python Programming Workshop - May 20, 2018

​We firmly believe that encouragement and early education in STEM is an ideal platform to develop a girl’s communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical-thinking abilities, which are important in building an informed and balanced society.  These abilities can help girls -whether or not they pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and math– acquire skills to confront real-world problems, examine issues, and apply knowledge to search for solutions.​All Girls STEM Society, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, strives to inspire and excite girls to begin to pursue STEM, through various free events and workshops that involve STEM projects in a fun and hands-on environment.

All Girls STEM Society

An introductory Python programming workshop for girls in grades 3-8. Learn programming with Python’s Turtle class - draw faces, fractals, and more with digital turtles!  For returning members, we’ll cover recursion and other advanced topics.  Digital turtles to program with, and fun turtle erasers for prizes… so tons of turtles, programs, and prizes. 
(This will be the last workshop for Veronica Tang, Flora Chen, William Tian, and Sahil Malhotra before they head off to college.)
