All About Oud:  Workshop

The Institute for Art and Olfaction is devoted to creative experimentation with a focus on scent. Our goal is to create new points of entry for people interested in the field of olfaction, while accommodating creative ideas in all mediums. The IAO is a 501(c)3 non-profit located in Los Angeles, USA.

With Dana El Masri and Ashley Eden Kessler 
Dive deep into the richly aromatic and historic world of ouds in a co-hosted accords workshop with visiting perfumer Dana El Masri and Ashley Eden Kessler.
Used historically in incense and scent, Oud is an important historic perfume material. In this class, participants will explore the components and rich aromatics of this remarkable material, and blend their own Oud accords in small breakout groups.
Time: 10:30 am to 3:30pm (with one hour break) Cost: $185 Details: Attendance limited to 12 people.

When we host a class or workshop, we often order the materials to be used in the class well in advance, based on how many people have signed up (and padding a bit for safety). We also use class proceeds to pay our teachers. Although we realize that life has a funny way of getting in the way of the best laid plans, as a small non-profit we cannot afford to carry the burden of lost proceeds and materials.
With that in mind, here is our refund policy:
– Cancellation with refund or credit requests made 2 weeks or more (14 days) before the scheduled class will be honored with gusto! We’ll miss you, but will 100% refund your spot, or give you credit for another class. – Refunds or class credits requested less than 14 days before the scheduled class: We will refund you 50% of your class fee. Why? Because we’ve already ordered the materials. – Refunds or class credits requested less than 48 hours before the class, on the day of the class or after the class has happened will not be granted.
