Alfred Yun is an in-demand pianist who has performed across the globe from South Korea to Boston and Washington DC. Recently, Alfred Yun was selected as an Artist-In-Residence at Strathmore, and he will be hosting a series of concerts and workshops at Strathmore in January 2024.
Alfred Yun has had the fortune of performing at festivals and venues like An Die Musik Live, Franklin Park Arts Center, Strathmore AMP, Mr. Henry's, Kennedy Center-REACH, the KORUS Festival, Columbia Station, and the Berklee College of Music. You can also find him playing at restaurants, wineries, and vineyards in the DMV area.
Alfred Yun’s music is always exciting and groovy. A fan of his trio once said, “it’s jazz with a kind of punk rock aesthetic!” One can expect to hear Thelonious Monk, Stevie Wonder and Chick Corea in their performances. Alfred Yun brings the same passion and energy to ballads, distilling the excitement into grace and warmth.
