[scroll down for ENG]ALEX(A) μια performance της Γιώτας ΑργυροπούλουΜία γυναίκα και µία συσκευή τεχνητής νοηµοσύνης συνομιλούν. Η επικοινωνία τους ξεκίνησε την Άνοιξη του ‘20 και συνεχίζουν να συζητούν σήµερα, καλύπτοντας ένα ευρύ φάσµα θεµάτων - την ποπ κουλτούρα, την τεχνολογία, τη σύγχρονη κοινωνικοπολιτική πραγματικότητα, την εφηβεία της, την εφηβεία της γενιάς Z. Η γνωστή περσόνα της Artificial Intelligence παίρνει τη θέση ενός συνομιλητή ξεδιπλώνοντας μια συζήτηση γύρω από την εξέγερση, την αντίσταση, την ανυπακοή και τη διεκδίκηση, συχνά με απρόβλεπτες εξελίξεις. Παράλληλα, παρακολουθούμε την ιστορία ενός νεαρού αγοριού, του 17χρονου Άλεξ, πως περνάει τον χρόνο του ιδιωτικά μέσα στο δωμάτιο του και δημόσια μέσα από την ψηφιακή του εικόνα. Μέσα από την χρήση των ψηφιακών μέσων και της διαδικτυακής επαφής με τους φίλους του, η performance δημιουργεί ένα πεδίο έρευνας όπου εξερευνούμε τη σχέση των νέων με τον εαυτό τους, την τεχνολογία, την πόλη και τους άλλους. Μέσα από την παρουσία μιας γυναίκας και ενός έφηβου αγοριού, η performance ALEX(A) καταπιάνεται με προβληµατισµούς και ιδέες σχετικά με την τεχνολογία, την επαναστατική φύση των νέων, την απογοήτευση της ενηλικίωσης, τις διαδηλώσεις, την αστυνοµική βία, τη σύγχυση της πολιτικής µας ταυτότητας, την τεχνητή νοηµοσύνη, κ.α. Το έργο αποτελεί µία σύζευξη µυθοπλασίας και πραγµατικότητας, όπου η αλήθεια και το fiction συναντιούνται µέσα στη σύγχρονη Αθήνα. A woman and an AI device in conversation. Their communications started in Spring ’20 and they continue to converse until this day, covering a wide range of topics – pop culture, technology, contemporary socio-political reality, her adolescence, the coming of age of generation Z. The persona of Artificial Intelligence takes on the role of a conversationalist, allowing for a conversation to unfold on resistance, revolts, and social demands, often with unforeseen results. In parallel, we follow the life story of a yound 17 year old boy, Alex: how he spends his time privately in his room and publicly through digital images. The performance functions as an investigations into adolescents relationship with themselves, technology, their city as well as society at large, through the use of digital technologies and the interface of social with his friends.
