About This Event
The Japanese martial art of Aikido is a comprehensive system of throwing, joint-locking, striking and pinning techniques, coupled with training in traditional Japanese weapons such as the sword, staff and knife. Founded by Morihei Ueshiba early in the twentieth century following his own extensive study of various armed and unarmed martial systems, Aikido represents a distillation of centuries of Japanese martial knowledge.
The instructor is affiliated with the Aikido World Alliance and possesses a 3rd Dan and Shidoin!
Aikido class includes warm up exercises, cardio, core strengthening and technique in a fun and fast paced environment!

- Class dates: May 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, 21, 26, 28
- No class on Federal Holidays.
- 6:45-7:45 PM
- Location: IronWorks North dojo room
- Attire: White martial arts gi or long athletic pants and a long-sleeve shirt (will eventually need to obtain plain white martial arts gi (Dogi)).
$40/month pre-registration or single sessions are available for $10/class via QR-code.
