Join us October 12th for the Internet Archive's annual celebration! This year we'll be exploring research in the age of AI.

<p><strong>Artificial Intelligence rocking your boat?</strong> Join us October 12th to see how the Internet Archive is using AI to build new capabilities into our library, and how students and scholars all over the world use the Archive’s’ petabytes of data to inform their own research. </p>

<h1>Celebrate In-Person with the Internet Archive!</h1><p>This year's celebration is a hybrid event. <h2>S﻿peakers Include:</h2><ul><li><strong>Brewster Kahle (Founder and Digital Librarian at the Internet Archive)</strong> - Discussing Internet Archive collections and the history of the Archive x AI from MIT to now.</li><li><strong>Peter Wang</strong> - Former physicist and current CEO, Co-founder at Anaconda (called the world’s most popular Python data science platform); invented @pyscript_dev, @PyData, @Bokeh, and @Datashader. </li><li><strong>Kalev Leetaru</strong> - Founder of the GDELT Project (monitors the world&#x27;s broadcast, print, and web news in 100 languages) discussing how AI can transform research and data science.</li><li><strong>David McRaney</strong> - Best selling author, Top 100 Podcaster, and journalist. Creator of the “You Are Not So Smart” series and writer on human biases, cognition, and genius.</li><li><strong>Jamie Joyce (Internet Archive Project Lead: Democracy&#x27;s Library)</strong> - Mapping AI risks, alignment, and policy topics using collective intelligence tools and AI.</li><li><strong>Allison Duettmann (President of the Foresight Institute)</strong> - Discussing the future of research with AI</li><li><strong>Drini Cami (Open Library program at the Internet Archive)</strong> - How we use AI at the Internet Archive to improve access to our collections</li><li><strong>Alexis Rossi (Director of Media &amp; Access at the Internet Archive)</strong> - Discussing research use cases of the Internet Archive collections</li></ul>

<h3>Covid-19 Policy:  </h3><p>The event will have both indoor and outdoor activities. The Internet Archive follows <a href="https://www.cdph.ca.gov/Programs/CID/DCDC/Pages/COVID-19/guidance-for-face-coverings.aspx" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">mask guidelines</a> from the California Department of Public Health. Masks will be provided on site to anyone who needs one.</p>
