Description: A foundational course that introduces participants to the fundamentals of artificial intelligence (AI) and its potential to support teaching and curriculum design. Participants will gain an understanding of the basics of AI, a working knowledge of what AI is (and is not), understand institutional guidance and ethical uses, and practice hands-on techniques for using AI to design and improve courses and interactive learning activities. By the end of the two-day course, participants will be equipped with practical strategies for responsibly leveraging AI to enrich their courses while preserving academic rigor and human-centered learning.
