AI Developer Bootcamp

AI Developer Bootcamp

Overview

What It Means to Be a Developer in the Age of AI

The AI Developer Bootcamp is a full-day, immersive training designed to help developers understand and build modern AI systems: from foundational LLM behavior to multi-agent architectures.

The day begins with an examination of what it means to be a developer in the age of AI, including how skills such as prompting, context management, system design, debugging, and orchestration are reshaping modern software development.

Participants then apply those skills through a progressive, hands-on build that starts with a simple chatbot and evolves into retrieval-augmented systems, tool-enabled agents, and coordinated multi-agent workflows.

Rather than teaching AI concepts in isolation, each topic is explored by running code and real-world implementation patterns, giving developers a practical understanding of how AI-powered applications work in production environments.

Who Should Attend

This bootcamp is designed for:

  • Developers and Software Engineers who want to understand how LLMs, RAG, and agents work under the hood.
  • Technical Product Builders are experimenting with AI-enhanced features or LLM-powered workflows.
  • Software Architects exploring scalable AI design patterns and agent-based systems.
  • Innovation Leads or Engineering Managers seeking hands-on exposure to modern AI tooling and workflows.

No deep machine learning background is required. A working knowledge of programming fundamentals and curiosity to build is enough.

Before the Bootcamp

To maximize hands-on time during the bootcamp, participants are expected to complete a one-hour pre-session focused on environment setup. This session ensures laptops are properly configured, and all required code, dependencies, and tools are ready to run before the day begins.

Participants who are unable to attend the pre-session are expected to complete the setup independently by following the provided video tutorial before the bootcamp.

Agenda

-

Kickoff & Orientation

Welcome, introductions, and orientation. Overview of the day’s goals, learning outcomes, and how the sessions connect. Environment setup is assumed to be handled pre-event or minimally during this window.

-

Intro to Large Language Models

A practical introduction to LLMs focused on how developers actually use them, covering what LLMs are (and are not), how tokens, latency, and context windows affect application behavior, and the fundamentals of prompt structure and context management. Participants will leave with a clear mental model for how LLM-powered systems behave in real applications.

-

Developer Skills in the Age of AI

A strategic session on how software engineering is evolving with AI. Topics include system direction, context engineering, prompting, AI evaluation, and the growing importance of architecture. This session frames the day and connects the upcoming builds to real-world expectations.
