Agile Basics Training

This hands-on training will introduce you to the Agile concept, practices and framework of Scrum. On Feb. 19 & 22, 8:30am -12:30pm EST. 

In this 8-hour training spread across two days, we will introduce you to the Agile concept, practices and framework of Scrum. By the end of this training, you will have an understanding of the SCRUM basics such as values, principles, roles, artifacts and Empirical Process Control measures. Interactive exercises and take home material will provide participants with a working understanding of these concepts which for you to share with your peers and practice further.

Training Topics will include: •	What is Agility and Scrum?•	The Agile Principles and Excellence•	Developing a Product Vision and Backlog•	Sprint Planning and Defining Done•	Scrum Practices•	Test: Comprehension Check•	Introduction to Agile Frameworks

For experienced PMs, this will serve as a great introduction to Agile, with some reinforcement of the principles of all good project management.

Your trainer: Mike Saint-Jean, SAFe Scrum Master (SSM 4)Although he was educated in Mechanical Engineering, Mike credits his experience of the Product development process in the Automotive, Transportation and Energy sector for his knowledge of applied Project Management and Systems engineering. Personally, Mike's interests include music of all varieties (he is a concert violinist by practice), motorsports, and long walks on the beach. In this training, we will explore how the different use cases where Agile definitions and practices can be applied and managed to achieve project excellence between you and your customer.
