Beyond the buzzwords, frameworks, charity, and “clarity”, what goes on behind the scenes of co-creation? Can co-creation be done without causing harm? Who really benefits from it? Can the intent to impact ratio be studied, measured, and refined to clearly articulate the consequences of co-design? What goes into a successful co-creation process? How do we elevate those who are experts via lived experience to equal authority as those who are experts via academic experience?Afterthought is an afternoon filled with conversations, unraveling questions, unfinished stories, gentle disagreements, and sharing understandings around the messy, problematic, and otherwise cringey conundrums that designers face when they engage in “social impact.”We invite you to an event where you&#x27;ll meet over thinkers, nerds, busy bodies, home bodies, parents, caregivers, storytellers, truth tellers, activists, slacktivists, educators, and life long learners to answer the question: Co-Creation, Lived Experiences, The Politics Of Caring ..
