Join Owl Eyes Wilderness Survival in this 2 class program learning to make survival weapons like the slingshot, atlatl, and dart. Students ages 7-14 will learn to carve wood with bushcraft knives, harvest the proper materials for their crafts, and they will learn to shoot their wepons at targets. A great idea for any child wanting to learn survival skills!
All tools and materials will be available to borrow, knives will also be available for sale at the beginning of the program. Slingshots will be made out of harvested wood, and tubing. Atlatls(spear throwers) and darts will be carved from harvested wood and natural materials.
SCHEDULE:
1st Class-Atlatls and Darts: June 10th 4:00-6:30pm
2nd Class-Slingshots: June 17th 4:00-6:30pm
Please bring water, snacks, and appropriate clothing for weather and bugs for this class. If students have their own tools, they are welcome to bring them. Please reach out with any questions.
