Historically, this event is our largest fundraiser of the year, and it allows AFSA to provide support to over 60 Airman and Veteran programs throughout the year. As in years past, AFSA is responsible for providing volunteer manpower in the beer booths as well as a variety of food concessionaires over the course of the weekend. As such, your volunteer assistance is greatly appreciated and critical to making the event a success.
Volunteer benefits include free air show admission ($20 value), free, secure volunteer only parking (saves you $10 in spectator parking fees), and 2 free food vouchers ($20 value).
To volunteer, simply select your preferred day (Saturday or Sunday), annotate if you are willing to work a beer booth (21+ only) or pavilion, provide your Unit and contact info, and if you are volunteering with others, their names. All volunteers need to register independently, but we will do our best to place you together. All volunteers commit to working the entire shift from 7a.m. to 5 p.m. Please plan accordingly.
PLEASE NOTE: we will schedule you where volunteer numbers are needed and there is a possibility, we may have to move you to a different booth, but we will make every attempt to keep you with your requested people. Please be flexible.
YOU MUST PICK UP a Volunteer Admission/Parking Pass from AFSA event organizers on Thursday 20 June at the Packys Bar and Grill/Hope Hotel 1600-1900 or Friday 21 June at the Packys Bar and Grill/ Hope Hotel 1600-1900. An email will be sent out with details. You will receive pass distribution details after registration. A printed registration confirmation from Eventbrite.com does not suffice for entry. Maps to the Vendor Parking area will be available at Pass Pick up.

Volunteers must be 21 years or older to be assigned to a beer booth or pavilion booth--no exceptions!
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
You may drive your personal vehicle (maps and parking passes will be handed out at registration--see above). Please understand there will be a lot of traffic so please plan ahead and leave early to ensure you make it on time.
AFSA will also provide transportation to and from the Hope Hotel. If you prefer this option, please indicate so at "check out".
Can I sign up to work a different shift time?
Due to severe traffic constraints the afternoon shifts have been eliminated. AFSA consolidated all volunteers to one shift per day from at 7a.m. to 5 p.m. Please plan accordingly.
Can I take a break to get something to eat and watch a little of the show?
Yes, booths will be staffed so that all AFSA volunteers can take sufficient breaks throughout the day to watch and experience the air show and enjoy some of the food items. Breaks should be coordinated with your Row Boss.
I've made it to the airport Vendor Parking, now what do I do?
Gather your personal items (foldable camping chair, hat, sunglasses, camera, etc.), lock your car (the parking lot has security), proceed to the AFSA booth (which is the first beer booth) along the promenade and check-in with your Row Boss.
How much does food cost?
Food is free for AFSA volunteers only. Each volunteer will be given 2 food vouchers during your shift which are redeemable at any of the AFSA food booths.
