Welcome to Afrofuture World-build: Elder Care, an online journey created by The Afrofuture Strategies Institute (TASI). Our elders are vessels of vast knowledge culled from their experience on Earth. As future ancestors, how do we ensure we properly collect and share their wisdom for future generations to come?
Join us for a day filled with exciting activities and engaging discussions, where we will co-create a world centered on the love and care of our elders.
For three hours, we will engage in mythical storytelling and futures research exercises, culminating in a narrative day-in-the-life scenario.
The world-builds experience is broken down into four phases:
Phase One: Grounding
We provide an outline of how to prepare for the world-building session.
Phase Two: The Investigation
Together, we analyze systems of harm, challenge dominant narratives, and explore innovations that will inform our new worlds.
Phase Three: The Build
A day in the life story is co-created.
