AfroEcstatic Dance

#RestEasyBby is excited to present AfroEstatic! A BIPOC Only ecstatic dance. This dance also serves as a fundraiser to help sustain our weekly programming. Tickets are $20 - no on turned away for lack of funds (pay it forward ticket options available).

So what is AfroEcstatic Dance? AfroEcstatic is a liberated space to explore your body, mind, and spirit through the power of dance. Inspired by the village and the club, AfroEcstatic provides a brave space to remember what it feels like to find freedom within yourself while surrounded by like-minded community.

The dance begins with a group movement practice to get into our bodies, and then moves into an uplifiting 2 hour DJ set with music from across the diaspora, closing with a soothing soundbath and group sharing circle.

#RestEasyBby is a Black collective of wellness practioners rooted in healing justice. Our sessions are infused with the wisdom of Black Femme elders and ancestors, especially of the teachings of the Tricea Hershey (The Nap Bishop) with the intention of allowing for a space for rest and healing to sustain our lives and our liberation.

#RestEasyBby offers twice a week free yoga and additional special events in Baltimore City. We deeply value our instructors and pay our instructors for their time and labor. Our fundraiser goes directly to keeping our collective members paid!
