As highlighted by The New York Times, the AfriKin Art Fair 2024, themed "Threads of Life in Fragments of Time," will mark its 10th anniversary from December 1st to December 8th at Maison AfriKin, located within the Scott Galvin Community Center in North Miami, during Miami Art Week/Art Basel Miami Beach. This event is a profound journey through the interconnectedness of human existence, the cosmos, and the transcendent powers of the arts.

Global Narrative: The fair will showcase African Contemporary Fine Art, responding to the times and reflecting on the essential threads that bind us across dimensions of time and space. It highlights the global impact of African creativity and our collective journey through the cosmos.

· Performance Art: Explore the invisible connections that weave through our lives.

· Climate Change Installation: A pivotal water exhibit featuring digital mapping to express its critical global impact.

· Digital and Visual Arts: “Submerged Sentience” features immersive artworks responding to ecological and social challenges, including "Delta’s Roar" and "The Salted Language."

Special Highlights:

· Live Health Engagements: Onsite health screenings emphasizing the theme "Art Saves Lives."

· Cultural Performances: Global African dance performances celebrating diversity.

· Curatorial Integrity: Guest curator from Africa and a committee of global experts ensure authentic representation.

Engagement Opportunities:

· AfriKin Talk – Familiar Strangers: December 7th, exploring shared human experiences through art.

· AfriKin Fashion – Weave of Wonders: December 8th, a runway show blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design.

What to Expect: A week filled with exclusive viewings, artist talks, and immersive installations aimed at fostering a deep appreciation for art's role in understanding our shared human experience.

Youth Initiative: A youth-curated section where high school students will curate and exhibit artworks, reflecting their interpretations of our interconnected existence, underscoring AfriKin's commitment to inclusivity and education.

Climate Change Awareness: AfriKin stands in solidarity with voices advocating for urgent climate action, particularly in light of recent legislation. The fair's theme and installations will emphasize environmental sustainability and the importance of water sustainability.

Call to Artists: AfriKin invites artists from Global Africa and its Diasporas to submit works for consideration, aiming to showcase and amplify under-represented voices.
