All events are for Black women who are pregnant and/or have a child aged 1 year or younger living in their home. Our events are always FREE, with good food, and transportation to and from the event is available to those who need it.

<h2>African Dance Workshop</h2>Join Queens Village Akron for an exhilarating African Dance Workshop at the Gus Johnson Community Center / Project Ujima! Get ready to immerse yourself in the vibrant rhythms and movements of African dance. This in-person event is perfect for dance enthusiasts of all skill levels, from beginners to experienced dancers.Led by talented instructor Taj Munnerlyn, prepare to be energized as you connect with the spirit of African music and dance.You'll also in for a real treat with a performance from Mayne Attraction Dance Studio located in Cleveland, OH!The workshop will take place on Thursday, February 29, 2024, starting at 5:00 PM (Eastern Standard Time).Please come dressed comfortably in attire suitable for dancing. Bring your enthusiasm and be ready to move your body to the infectious beats. No prior dance experience is required – just a willingness to let loose and have a great time! A traditional African cuisine will be served.Spaces are limited, so be sure to reserve your spot in advance. We look forward to seeing you at the African Dance Workshop!
