African Dance

Moriah Leigh is the founder and creative director of Rooted Essence Dance. She is a passionate performer and enjoys teaching. A descendent of the Frank Hatchet-Kim's Danceland Legacy she began studying Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop, Ballet and African Dance. She went on to Howard University where she studied and danced with a pre-professional company. Later serving as a perfomer for Dayo N Dance Company of Washington D.C. Her current work includes at instructing dance at Wesfield State University, Springfield Collge as well as studing and performing with the Bamidele Dancers & Drummer for Young Audiances throuough Massachusetts.
