Defy Danger

AEGON'S CONQUEST is a live game experience which melds fantasy, strategy, and betrayal like none other!
Players are formed into teams of four, called a House, and assume the roles of the major movers and shakers within eight factions vying for control of the western continent. Each House has its own unique skills and strategies which players must use to leverage themselves into a better position to dominate their enemies. Players will set off to: - negotiate powerful alliances with other Houses - delve into forgotten ruins seeking lost relics - dig up dirt on your allies while their backs are turned to betray them later - forge the chains of knowledge and advance the capabilities of your house - manage incoming resources, sellsword company wages, and army supply lines to keep the coffers full - conquer thy enemies with a powerful military
The game itself plays out like a crazy mash-up of Diplomacy, Settlers of Catan, and Dungeon World.
Each player will have a specific role to play within their House;
the mastermind LORD, who negotiates alliances to help the other member of the House, trades resources, betrays other Houses by exposing their secrets, and directs the overall strategy of the House.
the adventurous HEIR, who dabbles in being a sellsword, a diplomat, or a bookworm as needed, as well as and adventurer delving into dark dungeons in search of lost relics.
the studious MAESTER, who researches new advances in medieval fantasy technology, tracks down lost lore, and uncovers allied Houses darkest secrets.
the cunning KNIGHT, who leads grand armies in an extended military campaign of mounted knights, castles, fire and blood.
The great Housess of the land at the time of Aegon's Conquest are: Stark, Arryn, Lannister, Hoare, Gardener, Durrandon, Martell, and Targaryen.

The game will last about 6 hours. Sodas and bottled water will be provided, however players are welcome to bring extra food or drinks if you wish. Please refrain from bringing alcohol. Everything you will need to play the game will be provided.
The organizers aren't making any money here - all costs go into venue rental and buying better and better props. This is a labor of love.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
Nope.
 
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Plenty of parking right at the venue.
 
What can/can't I bring to the event?
No booze, please

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Nah
 
Can I wear a costume?
Sure! It's not required, but whatever makes this more fun for you is cool with us. Golden crowns will be provided for each House Lord.
 
How many players can play on a team? Each House holds 4 players.
 
Do I need to know which role on my team I want before purchasing a ticket? No. All players will be briefed on the rules at the start of the game, as well as via email a few weeks before the game.
 
What is the refund policy? Up to 4 weeks before the event (December 10th) we will be happy to issue you a full refund. After that all sales are final.
