CANCELLED: Advocacy for Education: A Community Effort

Advocating for and on the behalf of students takes a (proverbial) village, or in this case a community. This community incorporates and requires collaboration among parents/caregivers, teachers, and legislators. This two-hour session will feature an overview of advocacy from the legislative perspective and a panel discussion reflecting perspectives on advocacy by community constituents. Immediately following the panel will be an interactive activity aimed at building advocacy skills. Come to this event to learn about issues and boost your advocacy skills!
