Vanderbilt University Medical Center is approved by the American College of Surgeons as an official course site for ATLS® (Advanced Trauma Life Support). This is a half-day curriculum 10th edition refresher course for ATLS and is sponsored by the Division of Trauma and Surgical Critical Care. This course includes interactive discussions, skills stations, triage scenarios and practical/written testing stations. Upon successful completion students will receive ATLS certification valid for four years. To qualify to take an ATLS refresher course, you must be a physician, advanced practice clinician or approved via special operations status.
