Advanced Technical Skills Mountain Bike Group Ride
Rock Gardens, for Advanced and Intermediate+ (experienced, solid Intermediate) level riders aspiring to "get better at rock gardens and technical riding". This is a free event brought to you by the Southeast CT NEMBA Chapter Community.
Very rocky terrain, casual pace when transitioning between specific rock gardens, with a focus on sessioning the rock gardens including informal instruction & technical riding tips.
Estimated mileage: less than 10 miles, but subject to route changes based on the group.
Parking: Bluff Point State Park in Groton, CT, in the main lot. Meet at the picnic area by the water spigot.
Additional information: Due to the terrain, having either a frame-mounted bash guard or crank/chainring mounted bash ring is strongly recommended, as well as an understanding that acquiring some new scratches or dings on cranks & pedals are inevitable, especially during the learning process.
Minimum skill level required = Experienced/solid Intermediate
