Klasey Consulting is partnering with Lincoln Families to host "Advanced Strategies for Supporting System-Involved Youth with Mood Disorders." Many system-involved youth and young adults struggle with mood disorders so it’s crucial for providers to know how to support them. This training will build off “Strategies to support system-involved youth with mood disruptions” where providers learn the different types of mood disruptions and some engagement strategies. This training will provide you with additional strategies to support youth with mood disruption, how and when to involve parents/caregivers, and how parents/caregivers can support their youth with a mood disruptions. This training will also include discussions around common co-occurring disruptions youth and young adults may struggle with and school-related challenges.

Please note that in order to register for these free trainings you must be staff, caregiver or volunteer working directly with foster, adoptive or probation involved children, youth and their families in Alameda, Solano, Mendocino, Lake, Contra Costa, Humboldt, Tuolumne and Calaveras only. Participants outside of these areas aren't eligible.

The learning objectives are:

1. Participants will be able to identify at least 1 common co-occurring disruption

2. Participants will be able to identify at least 1 strategy for supporting youth with a mood disruption

3. Participants will be able to identify at least 1 way a parent/caregiver can support their youth with a mood disruption
