Advanced Skills for Play Therapy with Child Survivors of Trauma

Play therapy provides opportunities for children to experience safety, connection, and free

expression – all imperative processes for trauma recovery in children. When equipped with

advanced knowledge and skills to conceptualize the sequelae of trauma, play therapists can better address children’s trauma responses. In this workshop, participants will learn about the effects of trauma and apply advanced skills to use in play therapy with child survivors of trauma.
