Advanced Design & Prototyping Workflows using Adobe XD
Event Information
Description
This workshop will be in English. Ethan Parry, the facilitator of this workshop, does speak fluent Spanish, and attendees are more than welcome to ask questions in Spanish if they prefer.
Learn how to rapidly design, prototype, and share interactive experiences at the speed of thought. In this hands-on lab, you’ll immerse yourself into a new platform and learn powerful tricks to remove friction from your design process.
This workshop will focus on advanced XD features such as animation, voice, design with real data and using plug-ins and integrations to extend XD's functionality. A special focus will be on design systems and collaboration across distributed teams.
You will learn:
-
How to leverage XD to design, test, review, and handoff for production in collaborative environments and distributed teams
-
Create and maintain a design system at scale
-
Designing with data and for voice interfaces
-
Use plug-ins and app integrations to extend XD's functionality
Following intros and proper expectation management, attendees will create an interactive prototype from scratch that is shared for feedback and delivered to production. Participants are to touch every feature of the software and will leave the workshop ready for production work using XD.
Along with the workshop, participants will discuss additional ideas and feature requests with the XDI team and the group, and gain a good understanding on how XD can help solve day to day challenges now and in the future.
*This workshop is for designers with prior experience using XD or other design tools, that are looking to dive deep into more advanced workflows and functionalities, learning best practices along the way.
Attendees are required to bring their own macOS or Windows 10 computer and an iOS or Android device. Detailed instructions will be sent to attendees in good time before the workshop.
