About this event

Being autistic in an allistic world, especially when it’s something you’ve just learned about yourself, can be a lonely experience. It’s hard when family, employers, and even friends expect you to function in the same ways that they do. Making friends and going on dates can be a minefield of missed signals, unspoken expectations, and social cues that feel like an alien language. Even giving yourself grace and care when you’re overstimulated or struggling with rejection or sensory processing can be tough.

You don’t have to do this alone.

Reese Hebrank welcomes you to this safe, inclusive space where you’ll find peers and community. Your fellow group members will be nodding along as you share your experiences, because they’ll have lived through things like that too. For eight weeks, you’ll come together to learn from Reese and each other, and share a space where you can be understood and heard.

Each 90-minute virtual session will begin with coaching and education from Reese for about 30 minutes on two topics relevant to living with autism—whether that’s building skills for managing time blindness, or understanding why you have meltdowns. From there, you’ll have the remaining hour to either talk more about the evening’s topics, and/or share and discuss your struggles, your wins, or whatever’s on your mind.

You can join even if the group has already started, or drop in on occasional sessions—there’s no requirement to attend all of them.

Are you ready to assemble your party and venture out into the world together?
