Adult Mental Health First Aid

Mental Health First Aid is a course that teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. The training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis.

Topics covered in this training include

  • anxiety
  • depression
  • psychosis
  • addictions



This course is valued at $170. Thanks to a grant from SAMSHA, community members' tickets will be paid for; learners may attend at no charge.

Please note: Along with attending the course on the 6th, you will be sent a pre and post survey as well as roughly 2 hours of pre-work. Before attending the course, 2 hours of pre-work must be completed before you are able to attend the course.
