ADU Workshop
Curious about building an Accessory Dwelling Unit? Do you have an existing or un-permitted accessory building that could be used as an ADU?
Curious about Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs)? Do you have an existing accessory structure, guest house, garage conversion, or other unpermitted building that may qualify as an ADU? Join the Town’s ADU Workshop to learn about the process of converting existing structures into legal ADUs, bringing buildings into compliance, and understanding permitting requirements and available resources.
This workshop is designed to help residents better understand their options for legalizing and improving existing accessory structures while supporting safe, compliant, and functional housing opportunities within the community. Staff will provide information on ADU regulations, common conversion considerations, permitting pathways, and frequently asked questions.
The Town remains committed to supporting regional housing goals and fulfilling its Regional Housing Needs Allocation (RHNA) as part of the Housing Element. While ADUs are only one piece of the solution, resident participation and collaboration play an important role in helping the Town meet its housing objectives.
