This will be a gallery tour with Adrian Ensor discussing his work over 60-year span. You will also receive a 8x 10 signed print.
From dark to light, an exhibition of photography by master printer and fine art photographer Adrian Ensor celebrating his 60 years in photography. Twice awarded Ilford Printer of the Year, Adrian developed a deep and visceral understanding of what makes black and white photography work before he picked up a camera himself. The catalyst, over 30 years ago, was the loss of his beloved dog Billy, when Adrian decided to go walking with his camera instead. This change from seeking the light in the dark to looking for the dark in the light led to his poignant, dreamlike Yorkshire landscapes – the start of a photographic journey that has taken him around England, across Ireland, to Belgium, Spain, and back to the monumental architecture of London.
Alongside Adrian’s hand-printed photographs, the exhibition includes an installation representing his darkroom and studio. A selection of original prints will be available for the duration of Adrian Ensor, ‘From dark to light’ which runs from 27th April to 10th May at 36 Windmill St, Fitzrovia, London W1T 2JT.
