Adiós Ghost with System Exclusive

Built in 1994 as a glass blowing studio, the building’s name references its roots. Now the venue produces theater, music, comedy, spoken word, educational workshops and more, providing a safe place to create dangerous work. Work that counteracts the passive, the isolating, the distance between people. Come experience joyful creation, partake in brave exploration, meet the person sitting next to you, share about what you’re seeing, buy them a drink. Our goal is to present relevant performing and visual art that is accessible for diverse audiences; art that connects and inspires us, and incites us to leap across cultural boundaries. The Foundry is a holding tank for raw, funny, challenging, empowering work that changes the lens through which we view each other.

Adiós Ghost draws from a broad range of influences, focusing psych, early aughts dance/electronic, R&amp;B and funk through a “heavy disco” lens. The band’s debut, self-titled EP came out in early 2013 and was met with praise, described by critics as &quot;wild and worldly&quot;, &quot;full bodied, and impassioned&quot; and &quot;intensely colourful.&quot; Moving forward, Adiós Ghost expanded upon their founding influences, and drummer Alex Loew tacked on the role of producer-engineer. They released their second EP in June 2016, followed by their first full-length in April 2017.  After a tour of the East Coast, South, and Midwest, the band began working on their follow-up with producer Phil Mossman (LCD Soundsystem, Primal Scream), to be released in late 2022.Ari Blaisdell and Matt Jones are System Exclusive: a Pasadena based two piece band bearing an armful of mini synths, making heart-throbbing capital P pop cut with more than a hint of post-punk. Blaisdell’s vocals hearken back to openhearted 80’s hitmakers unafraid to quaver in the name of love, and they’re buoyed by Jones’ laser-gridded synth concoctions and heavy hand on the ones and twos.—Tickets: $18 in advance  /  $20 at doorSeating/Bar: 7:00PM   Show:  7:30PMThis event is indoors.—Parking is limited at the venue so please utilize the three public parking lots in Town. One is across from the Post Office, one is behind Berkshire Bank and the other is just off Main Street. They are clearly marked. Do not park at Trúc Orient Express Restaurant or the Post Office or you might receive a ticket.
