Qigong

Join us for a rejuvenating Qigong workshop taught by Shereel Washington at Mukunda Studio on Saturday, May 11, 2024, from 2 pm to 3:30 pm! Qigong is a holistic practice that combines gentle movements, breathing techniques, and meditation to balance the body, mind, and spirit. In this workshop, you'll learn the basic principles of Qigong and how to apply them to improve your physical and mental health. Suitable for all ages and fitness levels, this workshop is a great way to reduce stress and promote overall well-being. Bio

Shereel Washington is a martial artist, Qigong practitioner, dancer, and clinical herbalist. Her martial arts training encompasses White Crane Silat Indonesian Kung Fu, Shaolin Kung Fu, and Qigong. She created a successful introductory martial arts curriculum for young children, “Martial Arts Kids Play (MAKP).” Shereel teaches Qigong at Deep Root Center for Spiritual Studies in Oakland, CA


DIY Herbal Workshop

Join us on Saturday, May 18th, 2 p.m.—4 p.m. at Mukunda Studio for an exciting hands-on experience. We will teach you how to make an herbal tea blend, face, body & hand cream. Please bring your containers to take your creations home with you.


This workshop is perfect for those interested in learning about the healing properties of herbs and how to incorporate them into their daily lives. Bio 

Shereel Washington is a clinical herbalist, educator, consultant, speaker,  dancer & martial artist. She is the principal of ixalted natural body care & botanicals, a health and body restorative herbal business that creates and crafts customized herbal formulations to support and restore overall health and wellness. She holds certification from the California School of Herbal Studies. As an herbal health, healing, and nutrition practitioner and consultant, Shereel serves diverse ethnic communities in promoting natural health care and wellness through plant medicine. As an educator, Shereel teaches Black North American Herbalism and Medicine Making in various herbal certification programs in schools across Northern California, primarily the San Francisco Bay Area.

Not! All levels and experiences are welcome to attend.

What do I wear to qigong?

Wear comfortable or loose-fitting clothing and bare feet in the studio.

Do I need to bring my own mat?

A mat will be provided at the studio. Please prepare to wipe down and put away your mat after the class.

Do I need to bring my own containers to take home what I make during the DIY Herbal care workshop?
