Does my child need a formal diagnosis for me to attend?

Accepted Answer

No. A formal diagnosis is not required. This workshop is for parents navigating executive function challenges, whether your child has a medical diagnosis, a school-based (IEP or 504) identification, is in the evaluation process, or you’re simply noticing ongoing struggles.

Is this workshop for kids or parents?

This workshop is for parents only. The content is focused on helping you better understand executive function, recognize red flags, and build a realistic action plan you can use at home and school.

Can I bring my child with me?

Accepted Answer

This is a parent workshop. Since it’s hosted at the library, there are areas where children can read or quietly occupy themselves if needed. The content is designed for adults, but if your child is able to sit quietly for the duration, then we can be flexible! :)

What ages does this apply to?

Accepted Answer

Carolina ADHD Coaching works with students ages 8 through early 20s, and the strategies discussed apply across elementary, middle school, high school, college, and beyond. The focus is on executive function skills that evolve over time.

Is this a coaching or therapy session?

Accepted Answer

This is an educational workshop, not therapy. You’ll learn practical strategies, frameworks, and tools to better support your child’s executive function, without clinical diagnosis or treatment.
