About this event

Join us September 23, 2020 from 3-4 pm as Demond Bledsoe (MS, PhD, LPC) presents 'The Culture of Addiction: Addressing Implicit Bias to Improve Treatment Outcomes.'

Explore the impact of implicit bias, racial stereotypes and stigma associated with clients struggling with substance use disorders. Treatment providers are an essential part of the continuum of services and must provide those services in a culturally responsive manner to yield the best outcomes. Participants will learn strategies on self-assessment and acknowledgement of bias and stigmatizing beliefs as well as strategies for improving the quality of culturally responsive care.

A Certification of Completion OR a CEU certificate (NCC and/or LSW/LCSW/LPC/LMFT) will be emailed to the email address provided during registration within 2 weeks of completion. In order to receive a certificate, you MUST be present for the entire session. If applying for CEU credit you will need to provide a current license number for each license type during registration.

There will be a post evaluation form provided in the chat box at the end of the webinar.
