This interactive webinar will relay best practices for optimizing productivity, morale and, of course, communication while working remotely.

Whether by choice or by circumstance, the modern workforce has found itself rapidly transitioning to remote work and facing drastically different systems for collaboration and productivity. In this interactive webinar, GoldJam facilitators will lead by example and prove that remote work does not need to result in isolation and decreased collaboration. With highly interactive virtual exercises, group activities, polls, partnered exercises, and break-out rooms this workshop will relay best practices for productivity, morale, culture, and, of course, communication.This workshop will cover:- Strategies for engaging remote workers, making sure that voices and perspectives continue to be heard and creative solutions continue to be generated;- Best practices for working online, from maintaining clear communication, to determining the medium for the message, to establishing clear boundaries around outreach;- Tactics for preserving company culture, including generating ideas for virtual team-building and how to recreate an in-person atmosphere online.This workshop will *NOT* cover:- Tactics that abound in every Google-able list, e.g. “get dressed” and “set a schedule.”Event leader: Jen Jamula, Co-founder of GoldJam CreativeThis workshop is led by Jen Jamula, co-founder of <a href="https://www.goldjamcreative.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">GoldJam Creative</a>, an organization dedicated to exploring the influence of the Information Age on communication, and to bringing comedy and creativity to the workplace. GoldJam leads communication skills workshops for companies, co-working spaces, incubators and student groups as varied as Buzzfeed, Time Warner, Spotify, NBCU, DreamIt Ventures, Barnard, The Girl Scouts of NY, Penguin Random House, American Express and more. They coach companies on public speaking, pitching, giving and receiving feedback, unconscious bias and inclusion, effective communication, and more. Co-founders Allison Goldberg and Jen Jamula are also comedians, and were recently featured on the cover of Time Out New York, which ranked them among “the 10 funniest women in NYC”. Their comedy projects have been featured in WIRED, Forbes, Newsweek, Vice, among others.
