About this event

  • 6 hours 30 minutes

A one-day educational event connecting seniors, their families, and caregivers, with the resources to help navigate aging gracefully and intentionally

The event provides much needed legal information to senior citizens, their family members, caregivers, and service providers.

The day kicks off with breakfast and the general session with a keynote address, followed by two morning and two afternoon workshop sessions offering a choice of several workshops. Workshop topics include: Estate Planning, Understanding Medicare, Advanced Directives, Powers of Attorney, ID Theft and Scams, End of Life Options, and more!

New this year, we are excited to welcome comedian Dr. Kevin Fitzgerald as our lunch session keynote! Dr. Fitzgerald, best known for his eleven seasons on the popular Animal Planet television series Emergency Vets, as well as various talk show appearances, NPR’s Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me, and Paul Harvey’s The Rest of the Story. Dr. Fitzgerald will bring some wonderful levity to a day of serious subject matter and further our goal of making an already great program even better! We are also extremely excited about our new venue for 2024 that allows us so much more space and amenities and the ability to add Dr. Fitzgerald to our already power-packed line-up.

Throughout the day, attendees can visit informational booths from service providers and agencies, and can also reserve a free 15-minute consultation with an elder law attorney as part of our Ask-An-Attorney program (consultations scheduled on a first-come, first served basis during morning check-in/registration).

Attendees will receive the Colorado Bar Association’s 2024 Senior Law Handbook, a 500-plus page resource manual with chapters on 34 legal issues concerning seniors, along with a copy of the Seniors Blue Book, and a complementary reusable tote bag of goodies from our sponsors and exhibitors.

Breakfast, lunch, and refreshments are available for all attendees courtesy of Heidi's Deli and other refreshment sponsors. Parking shuttle service is available to transport attendees from car to entrance in the morning and back to their cards in the afternoon, and the venue is wheelchair and walker friendly.

There is a registration fee of $10. IF FOR ANY REASON THE REGISTRATION FEE IS A HARDSHIP, PLEASE CALL CASEY AT (303) 500-7059.
