Active Threat Training
This program equips employees with clear skills and guidance to stay prepared and respond confidently in high‑risk, fast‑changing situations
Participants will learn:
• Threat Recognition: Identifying warning signs and behaviors that may indicate potential violence.
• Immediate Response Protocols: Practical steps to take during an active threat, including evacuation, sheltering, and communications.
• Decision-Making Under Stress: Technique for staying calm and making quick, informed decisions.
• Emergency Preparedness: Basic CPR, AED and Stop the Bleed best practices.
• Coordination with Law Enforcement: Understanding how to interact with first responders during and after an incident.
NOTE: Emotional support resources will be available on-site, including a comfort dog, and representatives from the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and the Disaster Behavioral Health Team (DBHRT).
