Community Room - Library North B131

This in-person workshop will be taking place in the Community Room - Library North B131. How do we get students excited to come back to the classroom? Join us for an active learning workshop on incorporating Mindful Teaching and Learning practices. The workshop is useful for flipped (hybrid) models where in-class time is valued and active. It especially builds situational self-awareness in students (and you).We feature four simple classroom techniques that help your students engage – and take some of the burden off of instructors. Workshop participants will reflect on their classroom practice and set a new teaching goal. The workshop is fast-paced and fun.In this in-person workshop, faculty will: <ol><li>Learn 3 keys to how people learn and the role that self-awareness (metacognition) plays in teaching and learning </li><li>Set a new goal for your teaching</li></ol>
