After a hiatus in 2020 and 2021, the award-winning ACTIVATE event returns to Chicago by popular demand in 2022 for one-night only!Inspired by the return of a vibrant Loop, filled with notions from your wildest imagination, <a href="https://loopchicago.com/events/activate/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">ACTIVATE </a>invites guests to dream in color through their clothing and accessories with a special prize awarded to the most-colorfully-dressed attendee! ACTIVATE is a celebration of local arts and culture that brings life to unexpected spaces downtown. This year&#x27;s ACTIVATE takes place in the LaSalle Corridor, one of the hidden gems of the Loop.Launched by <a href="https://loopchicago.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Chicago Loop Alliance</a> in 2014, these free events give the public a chance to interact with local art, music, and performance and take part in transforming urban environments. ACTIVATE will follow all federal, state and local public health guidelines, and will also provide masks and hand sanitizer to those interested. We encourage attendees to take the precautions they see fit.

From what we know of the virus, it is unlikely to spread outdoors or via surface transmission, but we understand the COVID-19 pandemic is not fully over, and especially those who are not vaccinated against the virus are at risk of catching or transmitting it when near others. Unlike previous ACTIVATE&#x27;s, this year&#x27;s event will take place in an expanded footprint to encourage increased traffic flow.
