Acting Workshop: Meisner
Join us for an acting workshop taught by April and Stephen Miller.
Join us on Saturday, June 6th, for a workshop diving into Meisner acting technique, taught by Stephen and April Miller.
Sanford Meisner taught that acting was essentially the ability to “behave truthfully in imaginary circumstances.” Too many actors stay in their heads, focusing on their next line rather than the reality of the scene. To overcome this, Meisner developed a series of exercises in which the actor focuses on their scene partner through observation and repetition. The goal is to allow for spontaneous, instinctive behavior which allows the actor to remain fully and honestly present in each moment.
Scholarships are available for this event. You can apply for a scholarship here.
