Acting Out Studio End-of-Year Showcase 2025

All Acting Out Studio students will perform in our prestigious End-of-Year Showcase, an exciting opportunity to demonstrate their growth and talent in front of family, friends, and VIP industry professionals. This annual event marks the end of our season, with performances by every class.

Showcase Dates & Locations

AOS Cornelius

AOS South Charlotte, Fort Mill, SouthPark
Dates: May 22–24, 2025
Location: Johnson C. Smith University, Gambrell Auditorium

Tickets

• Cornelius: $15, available through Cain Center for the Arts. Link to purchase tickets Cornelius Only
• South Charlotte, Fort Mill, SouthPark: $15, available online via Eventbrite. Link to purchase tickets for South Char, Fort Mill, SouthPark Only
• Students do not need a ticket to perform.
• Tickets are valid for all shows and all days.

Showcase Structure & Call Times

• The showcase is divided into multiple shows (May 14 Cornelius) (May 22–24 South Charlotte, SouthPark, Fort Mill)
• Students only need to attend their assigned show day and time, but are welcome to attend others.
• Students must arrive one hour before their scheduled performance time (call time). Times for each class are below. EX. Show Time 10:30am: Call time 9:30am
• If a student is in more than one class and has multiple performances in a day, they should report at the earliest applicable call time.
• Students will stay for the entire show in which they are performing and may leave once it concludes.
• Students under age 13 must be picked up from the designated holding room by a parent or guardian.
• Students will perform a variety of short scenes, monologues, commercials, musical numbers, or improv.

Rehearsals & Attendance Policy

• Students will rehearse during regular class times in April and May.
• Attendance through the end of May is mandatory. Students who miss more than three classes may not be eligible to participate.
• No makeup classes will be offered in April and May due to showcase preparation.
• If a student cannot participate in the showcase, please inform the instructor in advance. They will continue to participate in class but not in the final performance.
• Instructors will provide wardrobe and prop requirements specific to each performance.

Instructor Forms, Fall Placement & Auditions

• Instructors will distribute or email a performance form with your child’s exact performance time and any needed costume or prop details.
• They will also recommend a class placement for the 2025–26 season beginning August 4, 2025.
• Students interested in advanced classes such as Advanced Acting for the Camera (Acting III/Master Class), Advanced Musical Theater, or Improv Teams must audition.
• Auditions begin April 26, 2025. Register at actingoutstudio.com/auditions

Summer 2025 & Fall Registration 2025/26

• Summer Unlimited Classes run June 2–July 25. Fee: $400 for unlimited access to all classes at any location.
• Award Winning Camp Acting Out summer camps are $300 per session and available at all four AOS locations. Space is limited.
• The 2025–26 Fall Season begins August 4, 2025. Ask your instructor which class to register for or audition for an advanced class. Register at www.actingoutstudio.com

Auditorium Guidelines

• Photos and videos are welcome. Flash photography is not permitted for performer safety.
• Please avoid saving rows of seats.
• Do not talk or leave during performances, as it is disruptive to students on stage.
• Silence all cell phones before entering the auditorium.
• No food or drink is allowed inside the theater or backstage areas, with the exception of water.
• Refreshments will be available in the lobby.
