Acting Up is a volunteer young performers community theater group based in Mason, Ohio. We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, formed in March of 2005. This website has been created to give you the opportunity to start "acting up" by staying in touch with our theater company, productions, and other related information.

Hone your theatre skills and be ready for your next role when the theatre lights come up again! This 6-week course focuses on learning basic fundamentals needed for actors, such as:<ul><li>Character development</li><li>Monologue development &amp; breakdown</li><li>Acting without speaking</li><li>Acting in song</li><li>Strong vocal technique, articulation and projection</li><li>Scene Analysis</li></ul>This course will build confidence and communication skills as well as sound acting fundamentals.Details:<ul><li>Grades 5-7</li><li>Mondays, October 5th - November 9th</li><li>7:30 PM - 8:30 PM</li><li>$85</li></ul>Course taught by Acting Up alumna Savannah Slaby. Savannah is a senior at NKU. She has experience as a vocal and song prep coach as well as 14 years of professional and amateur acting experience. Savannah has written several musicals that have been performed in Ohio and Northern Kentucky.
