"How do we honestly reveal our hearts and experiences on paper in ways that will captivate, fascinate, and move others?

My class is a completely supportive, safe place for people to explore their deep thoughts, feelings, and opinions via writing. To explore their souls.

We will explore our inner worlds through self-expression on the page -- for healing, and creative inspiration and exploration.

The writing and acting tools in this class are fun, fascinating, and deep. They can consistently help us get to know ourselves better -- what we're really thinking and feeling at the deepest levels.

Participants can feel free to take notes on all they find helpful, so they can use it on their own later."

These workshop are coordinated by The Borderland Rainbow Center through a grant from TAASA (Texas Association Against Sexual Assault). Our goal with these workshops is to introduce healing modalities that can be used alongside therapy or on their own. We coordinate so individuals who find solace in these modalities may continue their healing journeys with our artists. Our goals through this grant are to improve accessible sexual assault services and healing methods for marginalized and underserved communities. These services include licensed professional counseling to include individual and group therapy, alternative healing programs (such as these workshops), peer support groups, and population specific focused services that respect the values, behaviors, expectations and norms of the community at every level of service delivery.
