Act Up: Actors Workshop

Participants will workshop 'hip-hop monologues' with a trained actor.

Workshop facilitator: Actor, Camille Nicole

• The acting facilitator will guide participants through a performance exercise where they will perform a staged reading of a hip-hop monologue.
• Skills explored: Performance, storytelling, movement, memorization
• Light refreshments will be provided
• Participants in the Act Up: Actors Workshops are invited to perform their monologues at an upcoming VERSES/VERSUS: an evening of hip-hop monologues and trivia. Actors will also be considered for roles in the 2026 BRED Hip-Hop Theatre Fest.
