About this event

In a small orphanage in New York City, a young girl named Annie eagerly awaits for her parents to come get her, as they promised they would. Upon realizing that her dream might remain just that - a dream - she decides to take matters into her own hands and go out looking for her parents but is unsuccessful. That is until the assistant of the famous millionaire, Oliver Warbucks, arrives at the very doorstep of Annie's orphanage! Of course, Annie, and her friends at the orphanage, can hardly believe her luck when she is chosen to spend a week at Mr. Warbuck's home. And just then, Annie's life is turned upside down. Not only does she finally get to explore the wonderful city of New York, where she's lived all her life, but both her and Mr. Warbucks gradually learn the importance of love and family. While the girls back at the orphanage are forced to reckon with the cruel Miss Hannigan, Annie and Mr. Warbucks must overcome deception, evil plots and very bad disguises, until at last Annie finds her true home. These young girls are able to surpass any obstacle, reminding us that no matter how bleak it all seems, things will get better. If not today, then tomorrow!
