The ACE Mentor Program is an effective and impactful high school program to introduce students to careers in design and construction. At a high school age, some students already know that they want to work in an ACE profession (Architecture, Construction, Engineering) and this ACE program is excellent for them in that they can hear directly from industry professionals about these careers. Some students may be unsure or may have not ever considered an ACE career and this program is excellent for them too as it gives them a real life taste of what a career entails and they can decide if a career in this industry is right for them.
There are ACE Mentor Chapters all over America introducing high school students to construction. In Pennsylvania there are chapters in Philadelphia, Lehigh Valley, Harrisburg and Pittsburgh. We feel strongly that a chapter in State College can help this community and we want to start one here. We encourage Centre County school districts and career champions to come to CPI to learn about ACE.
