Why take this class?

Making sure your documents are accessible means making sure that you are including people with disabilities. While many of the topics we will cover will help screen-reader users have better access to your document, these suggestions will also help those with cognitive and learning disabilities view your content. Additionally, most of these suggests can also be applied to your emails for better reading.

This class covers the very basics so we will not be going over advanced topics like tables, layouts and charts.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need Microsoft Word or Can I Use Google Docs?

We will specifically be looking at settings in the desktop version of Microsoft word. These same settings are available in Google Docs, but you would need to find them on your own as I will not be demonstrating with Google Docs.
