A bout This Event

This online training will feature three esteemed panelists, all of whom are dedicated advocates for accessibility in the state of Idaho. They will discuss community resources, best practices for tenants and housing providers, other accessibility basics, and more - all with a Fair Housing overlay, of course!

This session is great for builders, architects, city/state officials in building/permitting departments, advocates, disability groups, property management companies, and the general public.

A bout Our Presenters

Jeremy Maxand is the Executive Director of the Living Independence Network Corporation, one of Idaho’s three Centers for Independent Living. Originally from Southeast Alaska, Jeremy moved to Boise in the early nineties where he earned undergraduate degrees in Criminal Justice Administration and Sociology, and a graduate degree is Applied Historical Research from Boise State University. He holds a certificate from the University of Washington’s Evans School of Public Policy & Governance Nonprofit Executive Leadership Institute, and from the University of Missouri’s College of Human & Environmental Sciences, School of Architectural Studies, ADA Coordinator Training Certification Program. Jeremy currently serves on the Valley Regional Transit Regional Advisory Council, the Ada County Highway District ADA Advisory Committee, the Idaho State Building Code Board, and the Idaho Access Project Board, and the Idaho Volunteer Organizations Active in Disaster Board.

Erik Kingston joined the Idaho Housing and Finance Association in 1995 and oversees diverse projects, including program development, community outreach, fair housing education, as well as partnerships and planning for a range of housing, economic and community development efforts. He coordinates web projects such as housingidaho.com, fairhousingforum.org, and rampupidaho.org. Erik has served on Idaho’s Community Review Team since 2000, and was appointed to the Idaho Rural Partnership in 2009. He is a member of local, state and regional initiatives, including Boise’s Central Addition Master Plan, the Idaho Bike and Pedestrian Advisory Committee, and Addressing the Housing Affordability Challenge: A Guidebook for the Rocky Mountain West.

Dana Gover MPA, ACTCP Certification, ADA Training & Technical Assistance Consultant for The Northwest ADA Center-Idaho. Dana provides information, guidance, training, onsite reviews and technical assistance on the Americans with Disabilities Act and other civil rights laws providing rights to people with disabilities. She earned her certification from the national ADA Coordinators Training and Certification program in 2013. Dana is a member of the Fair Housing Forum, Consortium of Idahoan with Disabilities, Member of the Ramp Up Idaho project, Medicaid’s Personal Assistance Oversight Committee, member of Living Independence Net- work Corporation (LINC) Board of Directors, a member of the National Council on Independent Living.
